1. Acceptance of These Terms
Welcome to The Audition Lab ("The Audition Lab," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at www.audition-lab.com (the "Website") and your participation in any Audition Lab session, workshop, class, or related service (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing the Website, registering for a session, submitting audition materials, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website or participate in our Services.

2. Description of Services
The Audition Lab provides professional audition-development workshops designed for working actors.
Participants may:
    •    Perform current, recent, or assigned audition material;
    •    Observe sessions without performing (when observer seating is available);
    •    Receive feedback and instruction from the instructor;
    •    Participate in discussion regarding audition technique and audition materials.
The Audition Lab is an educational service intended to help actors develop audition skills, confidence, and professional awareness. Participation does not guarantee employment, auditions, callbacks, representation, or career advancement.

3. Eligibility
Participants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
By registering for Services, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

4. Booking and Payment
Registration is confirmed only after payment has been successfully processed.
Performer seating is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Observer seating may not be available for every session and may be released only after the performer submission deadline.
Prices are displayed on the Website and may change without prior notice. Price changes will not affect registrations that have already been confirmed.
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. The Audition Lab does not store your payment card information.

5. Performer Materials *
Performers may:
    •    submit material from an impending audition;
    •    submit material from a recent audition; or
    •    request assigned material from The Audition Lab archive.
Actors requesting assigned material should do so sufficiently in advance of the session to allow preparation of appropriate material.
Submission deadlines published on the Website should be observed whenever possible. Failure to submit materials by the stated deadline will limit the instructor's ability to prepare for the session and may reduce the depth or specificity of feedback provided during class.

6. Assigned Material
Actors requesting assigned material understand that:
    •    material is selected at the instructor's discretion;
    •    assignments are based upon available archive materials;
    •    requested genres or preferences will be considered where reasonably possible but cannot be guaranteed.

7. Participation
Participants agree to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully toward instructors, readers, staff, and fellow participants.
The Audition Lab reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any participant whose conduct is disruptive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise interferes with the learning environment.
In appropriate circumstances, removal may occur without refund.

8. Confidentiality
Sessions frequently involve real audition materials, confidential project information, character breakdowns, and professional discussion.
Participants agree to respect the privacy of fellow actors and not disclose confidential audition materials or sensitive information shared during sessions except as otherwise authorized by the material's owner.
While The Audition Lab encourages a respectful and confidential environment, it cannot guarantee that other participants will maintain confidentiality.
By participating as a performer, you acknowledge and agree that your audition work, submitted materials, and performance choices may be discussed, analyzed, and critiqued by the instructor and other participants as part of the educational purpose of the session. Such feedback and discussion are intended solely to facilitate learning in a professional and respectful environment.

9. No Recording or Photography
Recording, photographing, livestreaming, screen recording, or otherwise capturing any portion of an Audition Lab session is strictly prohibited unless expressly authorized by The Audition Lab.
This prohibition applies whether participation occurs in person or through any future online format.
Participants who violate this policy may be removed from the session without refund and may be prohibited from future participation.

10. Ownership of Submitted Materials
Actors retain ownership of their audition materials.
By submitting audition sides, breakdowns, scripts, notes, or related materials, you grant The Audition Lab a limited, non-exclusive license to use those materials solely for:
    •    preparing your session;
    •    conducting your session;
    •    providing feedback;
    •    maintaining internal records related to your participation.
The Audition Lab does not claim ownership of your submitted materials.

11. Intellectual Property
All Website content, logos, branding, graphics, written materials, educational content, workshop structure, and original instructional materials are the property of The Audition Lab unless otherwise indicated.
These materials may not be reproduced, copied, distributed, modified, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

12. Readers
Readers are an important part of the educational format used by The Audition Lab.
Readers agree to:
    •    provide a neutral, professional read;
    •    familiarize themselves with assigned material before the session;
    •    refrain from directing or coaching performers during scene work;
    •    conduct themselves professionally.
Complimentary class credits earned through reader participation are awarded on a one-for-one basis, are non-transferable, have no cash value, and remain subject to availability and any additional policies published by The Audition Lab.

13. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Because performer spots are limited, cancellations may affect other participants.
Cancellation, refund, and rescheduling policies published on the Website at the time of registration govern each booking.
The Audition Lab reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule any session due to unforeseen circumstances, insufficient enrollment, venue issues, instructor illness, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
If The Audition Lab cancels a session, participants will be offered either:
    •    a full refund; or
    •    transfer of their registration to a future session.

14. Disclaimer
The Audition Lab provides educational services only.
Nothing provided through the Website or Services constitutes legal, financial, medical, psychological, employment, talent representation, or career placement advice.
Individual results will vary depending upon each participant's experience, preparation, talent, and numerous factors outside the control of The Audition Lab.

15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Audition Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or relating to participation in the Services or use of the Website.
Our total liability arising from any claim relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by the participant for the session giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

16. Third-Party Services
The Website uses third-party providers for services including, but not limited to:
    •    payment processing;
    •    ticketing;
    •    website hosting;
    •    analytics;
    •    email communications.
Your use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
The Audition Lab is not responsible for the operation or policies of third-party providers.

17. Privacy
Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how personal information is collected, used, and protected.

18. Changes to These Terms
The Audition Lab may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated Terms become effective upon posting to the Website. Continued use of the Website or participation in the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any legal action relating to these Terms shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
